She was brought up in Paraćin.
Ana came into the limelight for her audition at the Beovizija 2003, with the song Januar (In English January) to qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. However, she did not make it through to the finale but managed to book her first record label signing with City Records.
On August 23, 2003, Ana released her debut album titled Januar. It consisted of the following songs Januar, Atina, Ptica skitnica, Uvek ima jedan još, Ako ikad ostarim, Hoću da te gledam…, Vatra (featuring Haris Džinović), Moj klub, and Srećan mi ne dolazi.
By the year 2020, Ana was considered to be one of the most distinguished singers in Serbia.
After the release of her first album in 2003, Nikolić went on to release a number of other hit albums including Devojka od čokolade (2006), Mafia café (2010), Milion dolara (2013), Labilna (2016), and Klinika (2020).
After Ana gave birth to her daughter Tara in 2017, she decided to go on a hiatus from her music career to reduce the weight that she had gained from her pregnancy and to take care of her daughter. Later, she returned with her 6th album Klinika in the year 2020.
Ana has collaborated with a number of musical artists including Nikolija and Rasta.
